Terms & Conditions
Last updated: December 2024
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of plumbing services by Thompson Plumbing Dallas (“Company”, “we”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “Client”). By scheduling or receiving services, you agree to these terms.
Services Provided
Thompson Plumbing Dallas provides residential and commercial plumbing services including emergency plumbing, drain cleaning, water heater installation, pipe repair and replacement, bathroom remodeling, sewer line services, leak detection, and fixture installation. All services are performed by licensed, insured plumbers in compliance with Texas state plumbing codes.
Service Estimates & Pricing
- All estimates are provided before work begins. We will not start work without your explicit approval of the quoted price.
- Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Unforeseen conditions discovered during work may affect final pricing; we will notify you before proceeding with any additional work.
- Diagnostic fees may apply for service calls where a repair is declined.
- Emergency service calls (outside regular business hours) are charged at our standard rate — we do not apply surcharges for emergencies.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
- For large projects ($1,000+), we may require a deposit of up to 50% before work begins.
- Unpaid invoices are subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee after 30 days.
Cancellation Policy
- Service appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 2 hours' notice at no charge.
- Cancellations with less than 2 hours' notice may be subject to a trip charge of $75.
- Emergency service calls cannot be cancelled once a technician has been dispatched.
Warranty
Thompson Plumbing Dallas warrants all workmanship for 1 year from the date of service completion. Parts and fixtures are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in the installation work itself — it does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, Acts of God, or pre-existing conditions. To make a warranty claim, contact us at (214) 555-0187.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions in your plumbing system that were not visible or disclosed at the time of service.
Emergency Services
Emergency service is available 24/7 at our standard rates. We guarantee arrival within 60 minutes for locations in the Dallas metro area. Response times to outlying areas may vary. “Emergency service” is defined as services required to prevent immediate property damage or safety hazards.
Property Access
By scheduling service, you authorize our technicians to access the property and plumbing systems necessary to perform the requested work. You are responsible for ensuring safe access to the work area and for informing us of any known hazards. We are not responsible for damage to areas that were inaccessible or not disclosed.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in Dallas County, Texas courts. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
